Jesse was born and raised in East Texas until he met and married Dorothy in 1960.  He worked at City Water Board in San Antonio as a messenger and meter reader, then at Kelly AFB, Civil Service for 31 years.  He was a budget analysist, his title was  Financial Manager, when he retired in 1997.  He has four grown daughters and eight grandchildren.  He and Dorothy have lived in Marion, been a customer of Green Valley  since 1976.  In 1982, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Sciences from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State).  He enjoys traveling, especially driving around the country but he regularly flies to Florida to see his newest grandson.  He spends his time on DIY projects, working in the yard and garden and keeping up with the world on his computer. Jesse and his wife are members of The Country Church in Marion.
